Iolite Pendant

A natural iolite pendant set in 925 sterling silver — a single stone piece from the Adelina jewellery atelier.

Iolite shifts. Hold it toward the light and it reads blue. Turn it slightly and it becomes violet. Look straight through it and it is almost clear. This pleochroism — the ability to show three colours in three directions — made iolite the navigation stone of Viking sailors, who used it to find the sun through clouds and locate true north. Wear it when you need to find your own.

Each stone is unenhanced, naturally trichroic iolite from ethically sourced deposits, selected individually for the depth and range of its colour shift. Set in a handcrafted 925 sterling silver frame. Pendant only; pairs with any Adelina base necklace from the Mix&Match collection.
